    damn
i just tried to update and clicked the wrong button and it all disappeared. basically i was complaining about having to work a lot and taking 18 credits because my friend and i are going to europe this summer and i want marta and anyone else who has gone to europe to tell me all the fun places to go. and my dad didn't send me a birthday card or present. so i think he's mad at me. and i had a joke "how did the dress die?" "it hung itself" i made that one up myself. it's a good one. you guys can all use it. if you want.

    Third time's a charm?
How i would desribe my dorm room if it were in a brochure:
McConnell Hall, also known as McCompton, is located on south campus. Basically, this means that you’re about as far away as possible from everything that you need to get to. You also have the worst cafeteria. It is also surrounded by trees, which are nice unless it snows, and then the sun can’t reach the sidewalk to melt the ice, causing hazards for those of you who ride your bike(me). McConnell is shaped like a biohazard, which is cool unless you happen to get one of the rooms on the straight parts because then your room is smaller than the already small dorm rooms(me). Oh, and you will also awaken each morning to the sound of construction whether you want to or not at 7:00. they're building an air conditioning building. fucking useful.

in other news, the highlight of my day will consist of me buying groceries that i really can’t afford, taking sixty dollars out of my already dwindling account to pay for rugby dues that i also can’t afford, and picking up an application at denny’s in the sad hopes that they’ll hire me so that i can make some money.

I also spraypainted my keyboard, which looks cool minus the fingerprints from me typing on it before it was dry, and the random keys that are sticking.

    1. Grab the nearest book.
    2. Open the book to page 23.
    3. Find the fifth sentence.
    4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal...along with these instructions

Book One: "I mean it's not like in the movies where girls like assholes or anything like that."

Book Two: "But indeed when I distinguish the wax from its external forms, as if stripping it of its clothing, and look at the wax in its nakedness, then, even though there can be still an error in my judgment, nevertheless I cannot perceive it thus without a human mind." (too bad it wasn't talking about a person)

Now while this is entertaining, is there more of a point to this? I'M GOING TO SEE THE PRESIDENTS ON SATURDAY. no, not bush. presidents as in peaches. and kitty. and mmmmm presidents.

well, my halloween wasn't as exciting as your caroling adventures. although i did get to carve a pumpkin that turned out to look like the headless horseman holding a pumpking-it was supposed to, i just didn't think it would.

we also bought a sled because unlike you guys, we are getting enough snow to build snowmen, go sledding, and fall over while riding a bike through.

my brother-in-law and sister also have a webcam, so i've been able to see them and my neice and their random friends over the internet. it's actually more entertaining probably than it should be.

other than that, not much else is happening except that my sister kristine is visiting me this sunday. that should be interesting. (those of you who know her should know how to respond...)

last night my phone rang and i heard it three doors down while i was in the study hall and the door to my room was closed. needles to say, i turned the volume down. i think. well i miss you all and hope you had a wonderful halloween, tubaween, etc.

this morning at 4:30 i got to find out that it was snowing because we had a fire drill. god i love the dorms. so much. it's still snowing which makes it very difficult to ride a bike, especially because my side of campus doesn't get plowed on the sidewalks.

my window is also leaking and sadly, duct tape can't even make that much of a difference. my neighbor and i are attempting to grow flowers in our dorm room. we decided that we needed more color in our rooms and so we bought...black flowers. way to go us. my backpack is also soaking wet and the bottom has two almost holes that i didn't notice so now i get to put all of my books in a plastic bag.

damn all of you who live where it's warm, and damn the rest of you who live where it's not snowing. although i have to admit it is kind of pretty. just really inconvenient.

oh yeah, does anybody have any good halloween costume ideas? since all of you live nowhere near me, i could even be the same thing as you! clever, eh? well any suggestions are more than welcome.

good evening ladies and gentlemen, are you prepared to rock
well i had my rugby tournament this weekend in new mexico and am now the proud owner of a pathetic looking black eye. and when i say pathetic i mean it's small and unmenacing looking. damn.

in other fun news, i got to go to hooters and eat buffalo wings and take a picutre of a sign for "creamland" that was much to our disappointment not a strip joing but a milk factory. and then on the ride home we stopped at the dinosaur park and illegally climbed under a barbed wire fence and took a picture of the t-rex eating a dinosaur. we also saw a bumper stcker that said i love beerland, which is in fact in texas. road trip!

my roommate also bought a harry potter chain wallet. how does that work? since when does teh harry potter company make leather wallets on a chain. weird. also, when rugby players get drunk we like to sing our team songs very very loud. not that we don't when we're not drunk, but they're more incoherent. i will sing them for you if you'd like some other time. because they're either really dirty, really funny, really entertaining, or all three. i am now going to eat my life cereal. yay for food that is not cafeteria.

    not so exciting
catching up on homework and studying for midterms suck. somebody brought cold weather here and fast. it's supposed to snow some time this week. i went out to buy tea and accidentally bought the wrong kind, which means another fun trip back to safeway.

in other news, southern california is absolutely ugly compared to northern california. especially LA. my neighbor dani has a friend that decided she already hated me(before she met me, mind you) and once she did meet me, she said that she got a really bad first impression when i stepped out of the car wearing "a tight wifebeater and a black bra." i've officially decided to kick her ass for making dani's life hell and for dissing me on my black and white color scheme. freaking californians.

in fun news, my roommate, dani and i ate about half a package of oreos with peanut butter last night. ahhh junk food. college rocks.

this morning my roommate came back at 8:30 pissed because she'd thought it was 9:30 and had gotten up an hour early. i was too tired to give much sympathy, but man would i be pissed.

so i didn't go to either of my morning classes today. i wish i had a good excuse, but it was mostly just me being lazy. i'm not too worried about it because they're both of my hugely populated classes, except i might've been getting a test back in one of them.

i also hate my drawing class with a passion because i'm being forced to sit in a hot classroom and draw a pinecone-a pinecone! for two and a half hours. NOT fun. my rebellion didn't work because all i did was work slowly on it because i was so annoyed which now means that i have to work on it in my dorm room. way to go me.

in other fun news, during rugby practice yesterday, a girl accidentally almost choked me. you're allowed to stiff-arm people and she was aiming for my shoulder, but managed to miss and clock me right in the throat. lots of fun.

i also found out that slamming my desk drawers does actually make me feel better when i'm angry. it knocks my pictures down, but....small price to pay i guess, right? however....my friend dani across the hall kicks ass and started singing build me up buttercup to me the moment she heard me throw my books down. some people...are cool. best one-liner my roommate's said so far was "i want to go to the football game early so i can hear the band play." WHO DOES THAT?! total nerd.

    holy crap, amazing gummi bears
i have the two biggest bruises on my arm and my arm has swollen so i look like i have a huge bicep. let's hear it for rugby!

in other news....i had my first test today which wasn't bad, but it was multiple choice so that's not saying much. i have a rugby tournament this weekend and my dad's coming to visit, hopefully i won't die. it might be traumatizing for him.

my roommate's awesome. while playing lemmings on my computer the other day-yes, i'm a total nerd-she sat and watched me and started singing to the songs. she also has this awesome knack for saying the most bizarre things with a straight face by accident.

example: last night my friend dani was looking for a beanie for our movie we were making. and i said oh, bethany has one. bethany is my roommate. bethany looks up from teh perverted magnetic poetry we were making and says, completely serious, "it's actually navy blue."

i fell on teh floor laughing. her other brilliant saying was when she told dani to put her socks in the microwave becasue her feet were cold. i love her, she's such a nerd, and you guys would totally love her. she's going to the midnight showing of star wars when it comes out and is obsessed with harry potter, rednecks, and anti-republican stickers.

"you might be a redneck if you've ever told your bookie you were just kidding"

anyway, that's my exciting life, you probably won't find it as entertaining, but if you've read this far, it sucks to be you.

well today i had my first design class which will kick serious ass. except that i have to learn how to re-write the alphabet in all capitals, which i hate. but other than that, it's going to be fun. i also have to buy a $90 book and supplies that will probably total up to about $90. but i'm still really excited. other than that, not much new. watched old school with my neighbors and then went to bed and didn't fall asleep. needless to say, i was very tired for my 9:10am class this morning. anyway, have to run to target! love you all

well hey all i'm finally using my livejournal! go me! i'm taking german and i'm excited but my dad flipped out. as marshall already knows. nothing super exciting yet, i miss everyone and will probably lose it when my dad finally leaves. but dorm life's okay, nobody really cool yet, not as cool as you guys and so far no nerds to help me with my computer-although i did get it set up by myself so go me. i went and saw the exorcist last night, oh my god was that scary. i hope you all are having fun and that your classes are awesome and that rem doesn't die by the time i get home. love you!

hey everyone. nothing really exciting except that spring break's in three days!! woohoooooo. nothing really exciting is happening. i'm about to go run six miles for track, don't ask me why, jsut understand that walker, as cool of a math teacher as he is, is also the devil himself when it comes to running. i'm not sure if it's scary that he grins all the time, or part of his evil plan to take over the world. i'm reading the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, awesome book if anyone cares. so far my favorite part is when marvin, the paranoid android(hey ben, a radiohead song!) makes a ship kill itself because marvin's so incredibly boring. anyway. marta my love, i've been around. sorry i haven't talked to you in awhile, but i miss you if it's any consolation. have a wonderful sunny day those of you that don't live in moscow. the rest of you, have a wonderful windy day. Hey everyone, it's MEEEEEEEEE
wow, i just realized it's been a very very very long time since i've posted. you poor poor people have had no one to entertain you. except that all of my friends on livejournal are funny. so damn you all to hell. anyway, i am a black sheep and joined track(except for emily who likes goats, she is a black goat instead) i will now duck so i will avoid all vegetables, books, pencils, and nearby objects. thank you, thank you very much. unfortunately, my knee is objecting and likes to give out on me at random times. anyway, for a first post back since forever it's quite boring. i almost got in a car accident yesterday. someone handed me a starbust and i looked down to see what color it was and almost rear-ended someone. luckily i have lightning quick reflexes and avoided them before any danger befell me and my passenger and before i totaled my car. fun fun. maybe i'll bless you all with more later, but until then thanks for being the nerdy dorks you all are that i know and love. oh, someone told me today that as perverted as i am it's not a surprise since tucker's my brother. i think it was a compliment.

the lord of the rings was so awesome! i want to see it again and again and again. have i mentioned that i loved the lord of the rings? mmm legolas. heh. apparently i think he's so hot that i actually went mmm in the theater and meghan heard me. granted, she was only two seats away. but i thought i was being quiet. tomorrow is our family's christmas. and then i get to go to missouri. and see family. and more family. and eat really good macaroni and cheese. i don't really know what else to say. i'm in the ag-science building with brandon, marshall and dan waiting to play d&d. and i still have homework. heh. i got a dirty christmas present. that's really cool. thanks ridley. *embarassed grin* rem, you'd be proud. very very proud. i hope everyone has a wonderful christmas if i don't talk to you guys anytime soon.

    nightmares and weekends
hey marta, remember that one time when i wished i would have a nightmare and wake up crying? yeah, what the hell was i thinking? i had a nightmare on friday. it was really scary, some guy tried to kidnap me from my house, and all i did was back away making a weird noise. so i woke up, thought about it a lot and then started crying. it sucked. and i was too scared to even go upstairs. then i found out tucker came home at 4:30 to get some cheese. let me just say if that had been one hour later, i would've freaked out. tucker, you're lucky. watched part of the extended lord of the rings tonight, have physical therapy tomorrow-whee! and then....no more school after this week!!!!!!! yay yay yay yay. oh wait...that means i have to finish buying/making christmas presents. shit. i also went to the ballet of a christmas story. it was so bad ass. and even though ballets aren't normally bad ass, this one was. then i went and played dungeons and dragons. *takes bow* yes, i am a geek. and i HAD FUN GODDAMNIT!! thanks brandon, for making me a servant. typical. *shakes head* anyway, i'm going to go to bed. or maybe finish homework. or both. simultaneously.

    oh christmas tree
well my subject just sort of gave away my post. as exciting as it is. my dad and i went shopping yesterday in lewiston. but after we got there we weren't really sure why because neither one of us needed to go shopping in lewiston, we needed to go to moscow. but i got a lot of shopping done when we came back to moscow, so that was good. i got all excited because i got to wrap presents but then remembered you can't bring wrapped packages on airlines. also, apparently to shrink large white cotton t-shirts you have to be magical because hot water and a hot dryer dont' do the trick. go figure. however, we did get our christmas tree! so we get to put it up tonight and decorate it. i'm excited. that's my favorite part of christmas, getting to sleep near the christmas tree with all the pretty lights. i went to the therapists today and found out that not only is my pelvis out of whack, but when i walk, i only swing my left arm. i thought that was interesting. i never noticed it before. did anybody else? anyway, i just thought that was kind of weird. i wonder if having sex in weird positions would fix my pelvis. marta? marta? *cough cough* errrrr yeah.
